  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup (4 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate chunks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a bowl using a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Add brown sugar and granulated sugar, whisking to combine.
  3. Incorporate the room temperature eggs and vanilla extract, whisk until smooth.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda, then fold gently until combined.
  5. If using, fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into a greased or lined baking dish.
