- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs

- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and line a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Melt the butter in a large bowl, then stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine topping ingredients: pecans, corn syrup, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well mixed. Pour over brownie layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the center is set.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
For a less sweet topping, reduce the granulated sugar by a few tablespoons and add melted butter for a softer set.
