- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar; mix until smooth.
- Add in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, and mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the top with the remaining sugar mixed with a little cinnamon.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares, then serve.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Freeze for longer storage.
