Description

Delightful cinnamon sugar donut holes that bring warmth and joy, perfect for breakfast or an after-dinner treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Vegetable Oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup sugar + 2 teaspoons cinnamon (for Cinnamon Sugar Mix)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F and set up a tray with paper towels nearby.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine both mixtures gently until just mixed, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Ensure oil is at 350°F before frying.
  6. Drop small dough balls into the hot oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes until golden.
  7. Drain on paper towels and roll in cinnamon sugar mix to coat.
  8. Serve warm as-is or with a dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze for longer shelf life. To reheat, bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes.
