- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the orzo and broth to the pan.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until the cheese melts and the mixture is creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, try using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Ensure to use full-fat heavy cream for the best texture.
