Description

A comforting and creamy pasta dish that’s quick and easy to prepare, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the orzo and broth to the pan.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until the cheese melts and the mixture is creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, try using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Ensure to use full-fat heavy cream for the best texture.
