Description

A comforting skillet dish featuring sautéed cauliflower and mushrooms, enhanced with garlic and finished with lemon juice and Parmesan.


Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter.
  2. Allow the butter to melt fully and the fat to warm until it shivers slightly in the pan.
  3. Add cauliflower and cook for 5-6 minutes until slightly golden.
  4. Add mushrooms and continue cooking for 4-5 more minutes, letting the mushrooms soften and release some of their liquid.
  5. Stir in garlic, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Drizzle with lemon juice, sprinkle with Parmesan (if using), and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve with toasted bread or a simple green salad for a complete meal. Great for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.
