Easy to make and share, these heart shaped chocolate chip cookies are a comforting treat perfect for any occasion.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and egg until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until blended.
- Stir in chocolate chips and sprinkles if using, folding gently.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the baking sheet, flattening them slightly.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to shape the cookies.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a different texture, replace 2 tablespoons of flour with oats. To keep the heart shape, chill the dough before cutting.
