Description
A simple and elegant dish featuring broiled lobster tails enhanced with zesty lemon garlic butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (6-8 ounce) lobster tails, fresh or frozen (thawed)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven broiler to high heat and position an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
- Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup and steady heat reflection.
- Using sharp kitchen shears, cut lengthwise down the center of the top shell of each tail, stopping just before the tail fan.
- Gently pull the meat up through the opening you cut, resting it on top of the shell.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let sit briefly.
- Brush half of the lemon garlic butter mixture evenly over the exposed lobster meat.
- Place the prepared lobster tails on the foil-lined baking sheet with the meat facing up.
- Broil for 5 to 7 minutes, watching for edges setting and surface turning golden.
- Remove the tails and brush the remaining butter mixture over the meat.
- Return the tails to the broiler for another 3 to 5 minutes until the meat is opaque and firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
Let the lobster rest briefly before serving to allow juices to settle.
