Description

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Colored sugar or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare baking sheets and line them with parchment or a silicone mat.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  4. In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  5. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well blended.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, stirring until combined.
  7. Roll the dough into balls and roll in colored sugar or sprinkles.
  8. Place the balls on baking sheets and flatten them slightly.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
