Description

A reliable and quick recipe for Chow Mein, perfect for weeknight meals or casual gatherings, featuring tender noodles and crisp vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces chow mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, carrots, and snow peas)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. Add the cooked noodles and soy sauce, tossing everything together until well combined.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions if desired.

Notes

For best texture, store noodles and sauce separately if preparing in advance. Rinse noodles after cooking to prevent sticking.
